MISSION VIEJO, Calif. - November 29th, 2006 -- Vigilistics, a company serving the dairy
and food processing industries with real-time operations intelligence software, announced it's
acceptance as a member of the Rockwell Automation Encompass program. The
Encompass Program is a product referencing program designed to identify, qualify, and
jointly market third-party manufactured products that complement the breadth of world-class
products developed by Rockwell Automation. Information on the Encompass program is
available on the Web at www.rockwellautomation.com/encompass.
Rob McGreevy, Business Manager for MES Products, calls the addition of Vigilistics in the
reference program a continuation of Rockwell Automation's support for the dairy processing
industry. "Rockwell continues to lead the automation of dairy plants in North America and
has been for over the last 20 years. Vigilistics is adding operational intelligence to the large
installed base of PLCs and ControlLogix processors, giving plant management
unprecedented ability to find milk loss and energy waste. The features and benefits of
Vigilistics complement the overall capabilities of the FactoryTalk suite of applications."
Vigilistics entered the relationship with Rockwell to leverage a commitment to Rockwell
Automation plant automation technology. The Vigilistics product, and specifically the
PlantAgent® model based data collector, is integrated exclusively with Rockwell
ControlLogix and PLC 5 processors. Value-added data collection enables a host of
information usage, including commingled genealogy, loss detection, and asset utilization.
Vigilistics CEO Robert Moore adds, "Vigilistics is very pleased to become a Rockwell
Encompass Partner. We already work closely with Rockwell to provide real-time operations
intelligence systems for dairy and food processing, integrated with Rockwell plant floor
automation systems, with support from Rockwell system integration partners. The
Encompass Partner program opened the door for Vigilistics to attend the Rockwell
Automation Fair, clearly the class act in the industrial automation market. We enjoyed
meeting other Rockwell partners and discussing food processing solutions with the
attendees. We look forward to working with the customers of Rockwell Automation, and to
working with Rockwell system integration partners to provide solutions."
Vigilistics Inc, a private venture-funded corporation located in Mission Viejo California, is
close to the largest concentration of dairy and food processing plants in the United States.
Vigilistics software is offered with a set of optional unit-operation based economic modules
for specific performance improvement objectives. An interface capability for ERP systems is
also an option.
