EMI Track & Trace

This EMI module allows the user to trace product forward and backwards through the plant storage units, processing equipment, valves, and pipes, as configured in the plant reference model. The graphic depiction of genealogy is easy to understand and navigate.

The user can trace any material or ingredient forward and backward from any point in the process model. It allows the user to search for any attribute of a material that has entered the system. The Plant Model is configured to collect lot traceable parameters such as Supplier Lot ID, Bill of Lading Numbers, or Operator Names. These parameters can be searched and instantly a graphic visualization appears that shows the point of origin of the searched parameter. All products that could have been affected are shown in the diagram as well as the path through the plant taken by the parameter. All co-mingling, by-products, and mixed lots are shown.

This search can be performed from the point of origin, for example starting from the receiving bay and going all the way to the loading dock. The search can also begin at the end-consumer package lot code and trace backwards to the incoming material at the receiving bay. There are two levels of complexity for the genealogy
